    Walking in the park to clear my head. The Girl was there. She smiled again. Gave a little wave. I actually stopped. I actually talked to her! We stumbled through my accented Japanese and her broken English. It was adorable. We traded social media. I’m literally shaking right now.

    Walking to 7-11 for coffee. The streets were full of loud people in cheap costumes. Then I saw her. The girl from the river. We passed each other in the cold air. She smiled at me. Just a quick, small smile, but it felt like the first real thing I’ve seen in weeks. The grey broke for a second.
